01The question
Classical dance is timeless. But finding the right people, resources and guidance isn’t.
I wanted a place where dancers, teachers, musicians and rasikas can truly connect — beyond geography.
It needed a home.
02The spark
It started with a simple question.
Every sabha had a list. Every guru had a lineage. Every dancer had a bio somewhere. Nothing joined them up.
One question. A lot of crawling.
“Why is it so hard for dancers to find each other, teachers, or opportunities — in one place?”
03Build
From an idea to a platform.
Started by indexing what already exists — Sangeet Natak Akademi awardees, Narthaki, Wikipedia — so that on day one a dancer could search and find someone real. Then a way to claim your own page.

08What I learned
Culture needs good infrastructure.
The art doesn’t need me. The tools around it do. The biggest lesson was consent: an index can be public, but a person’s page must be theirs — so the whole product bends around the moment an artist says “this is me”.
